Carl is an accomplished writer, strategist and public relations advisor with more than two decades of experience in communications and public affairs. With an ability to tackle the most complex subjects, Carl has a proven track record in issues-management, crisis communications, policy development, stakeholder relations and strategic counsel.

Before talking up a career in communications and public affairs, Carl was an award-winning journalist with experience as a writer, editor and broadcaster. Post-journalism, Carl served as a senior advisor to two premiers on a variety of matters including communications, policy and legislative affairs. He’s served as the leader of the communications team at the Government of New Brunswick and spearheaded several major policy and legislative initiatives in government.

Carl has also worked in the private sector helping corporate clients meet their communications, stakeholder relations and business goals. He’s worked as an advocate for industry in sectors such as natural resources, environment, energy including renewable energy, labour, IT and others. With all his experience Carl is no stranger to high-pressure situations, whether it’s meeting impossible deadlines or navigating the most difficult of situations.

Carl is an alumnus of the University of Waterloo, where he majored in both Geology and English.
